WBJEE 2018 Application Form, Registration / Login, Exam Dates, Pattern (wbjeeb.nic.in) – West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts WBJEE examination on the yearly basis for the admission of eligible candidates in government and private engineering colleges in the state of West Bengal. It is a state level examination and is well known for those candidates who wish to get admission in engineering colleges in the state. In this article, we have covered all the information related to WBJEE 2018 which will be helpful for the candidates willing to apply for the WBJEE 2018 examination.

WBJEE 2018 Notification

  1. WBJEE 2018 Information brochure will be available in the 4th week of December 2017. The application process will be started from 1st week of January 2018 (Tentatively).
  2. WBJEE 2018 Exam date has been declared. The examination will be held on 22nd April 2018.

WBJEE Exam Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria of WBJEE 2018 Examination includes the following criteria on the basis of Nationality, Age, Educational Qualification, and Domicile.

Nationality: Candidate must be Indian Nationals.

Age Limit:

  1. The age of the candidate must be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2018.
  2. Candidate must note that there is no upper limit for WBJEE examination.
  3. Also, candidate born on or after 1st January 2000 are not eligible to sit for the examination.
  4. In case of Marine Engineering, the lower age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December 2017.

Educational Qualification

  1. GMR Candidates – (Appearing for Paper I & Paper II)
  • They must have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics both along with any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
  • In each of the 3 subjects candidates must have individually obtained passing marks.
  • The Aggregate marks in the 3 subjects should be 45% (40% for reserved category candidates)
  • Also, they must have passed in English subject (Class 12th) with at least 30%.

2. PMR Candidates – (Appearing for Paper II only)

  • They must have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics both along with any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
  • In each of the 3 subjects candidates must have individually obtained passing marks.
  • The Aggregate marks in the 3 subjects should be 45% (40% for reserved category candidates)
  • Also, they must have passed in English subject (Class 12th) with at least 30%.

WBJEE 2018 Application Form

All the interested candidates have to apply for the WBJEE 2018 examination by filling up the Online Application Form. The Online Application Form will be available on the WBJEE Official website www.wbjeeb.nic.in. We have mentioned below important details/instructions regarding WBJEE 2018 Application Form.

  1. Candidate must have a working mobile number and email id to apply.
  2. The WBJEE 2018 Online Application Form will be available from the first week of January 2018 till 1st week of February 2018.
  3. Candidates need to register themselves on the official website.
  4. Candidates have to upload their scanned images of documents, photograph, and signature.
  5. Candidates are informed to take the print out of the confirmation page for further reference.
  6. If any mistake will be made by the candidates while filling the form, it will be corrected before the last date of window correction. The correction period will be started from the 1st week of February 2018.

Application Fee

  • The application fee is Rs. 500.
  • Candidates can make payment online (debit/credit card/net banking) mode.
  • Candidates can also make payment through offline (e-Challan of Allahabad Bank).

WBJEE 2018 Registration/ Login

WBJEE 2018 Registration process will begin from the month of January 2018 as per the notification by WBJEE Board on 31st August 2017. We have elaborated below in detail Steps on How to Register/ Login on the WBJEE official website www.wbjeeb.nic.in

  1. Candidate must first visit the WBJEE official web portal i.e. www.wbjeeb.nic.in.
  2. Candidate must enter the mandatory details and then click on the register option to complete registration.

WBJEE Exam Pattern 2018

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2018 will have multiple type questions. Each Question will carry 4 options. The Exact exam pattern of WBJEE 2018 will be known when WBJEE 2018 Information brochure is released. Until then candidates can take a look at past year exam pattern and start preparing for the examination accordingly.

  • The exam will be held through offline mode (OMR Pattern).
  • The question will consist of multiple choice questions.
  • The whole question paper will consist of 200 marks.
  • Total 155 questions will be asked in the examination.
  • The question paper will comprise of three subjects: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
  • In category- I & category II, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • There is no negative marking in category-III.

WBJEE 2018 Exam Syllabus

The WBJEE 2018 Exam Syllabus will comprise of mainly three subjects Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.

Maths

WBJEE 2018 Result

  • Candidates will be able to check their WBJEE 2018 Results through Online Mode only.
  • The Result will be declared in the 1st week of June 2018.
  • The WBJEE 2018 Result will be published in the form of Rank Cards.
  • The rank card contains all relevant ranks, total score & component scores in Paper-I (Maths) & Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry).
  • The cut-off list will be published by the authority, after the declaration of the results.

WBJEE Counselling 2018

  • On the basis of the WBJEE cut-off marks, candidates will be called for WBJEE 2018 counselling.
  • The WBJEE counselling will be held through Offline Mode in the month of June 2018.
  • The Counselling will be organized in 3 rounds.
  • In the Counselling, process candidates will have to choose the college & programmes according to their preferences.
  • The Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the merit & preference.
  • Finally, Candidates will have to report at the reporting center for document verification.
